Job Description

Join our team! We are looking for someone to contribute to our firm's success and work in our collaborative, friendly environment! Our Firm is looking for an experienced Legal Assistant with a background in Family Law to provide attorneys with administrative and clerical support. The ideal candidate will be motivated, have an excellent work ethic, and be extremely organized and detail oriented. The Legal Assistant will have the opportunity to support the attorneys to enhance the office's effectiveness by handling the following responsibilities: Manage the law office calendar by scheduling and monitoring deadlines Assist with screening and directing incoming calls Communicate with potential new clients Timely and accurate update of client systems Professionally and effectively communicate with clients, law offices, and courts, both verbally and electronically Create, organize and maintain files, both hard copies and electronic files Make copies, scan documents and prepare outgoing mail packages Format and process key legal documents File documents on JEDS Assist with general office duties: ordering office and kitchen supplies, dealing with building management, etc. Contribute to the team by diligently and thoroughly completing assigned tasks, duties, and projects
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2-3 years of legal administrative assistant experience as a Family Law legal assistant is required College degree preferred Familiarity with New Jersey e-courts Satisfactory knowledge of the day-to-day operations of a law office Strong work ethic and ability as a self-starter Computer literacy/proficiency in Microsoft Office Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments while consistently delivering excellent, quality work Strong organizational skills and strong attention to detail Strong written and verbal communication skills Must be willing and able to work in a fast-paced office setting The expected base salary is between $50,000 to $80,000. The range provided is the salary that our Firm believes at the time of this posting that it is willing to pay for this position. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors, including skills, experience and qualifications. This range is provided in accordance with applicable state pay transparency laws.
