Description Legal Assistant - 108496 Are you an organized, detail-oriented professional who enjoys supporting attorneys and working in a fast-paced legal environment? The HR Office is seeking a Legal Assistant for our client, a local law firm in State College. This position will provide administrative and legal support, with a primary focus on family law matters including divorce, custody, and support. The ideal candidate will be professional, organized, and comfortable communicating with clients, attorneys, and other professionals while handling confidential information with discretion.

Schedule:

Full-time (in-office)

Pay:

$47,000+/year (based on experience)

•This is a direct hire position with benefits. Responsibilities Prepare pleadings and other legal documents, primarily for family law matters

Communicate professionally with clients, attorneys, and other professionals by phone and email

Draft correspondence, cover letters, memoranda, and other documents

Organize, file, scan, and electronically save legal documents and work product

Witness and notarize legal documents

Conduct basic legal research relating to Pennsylvania rules of procedure and statutes

Provide general administrative and legal support to attorneys and the office as needed Qualifications Previous legal office or legal assistant experience preferred

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Excellent organizational and attention-to-detail skills

Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer applications

Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently

Familiarity with Pennsylvania legal procedures or family law is a plus

Notary Public commission or willingness to obtain one is a plus Interested?
