Paid Time Off, Simple IRA Retirement Plan About the Firm A growing boutique law firm specializing in estate planning and criminal defense is seeking an experienced Paralegal to join its team. As a relatively new firm, this position offers significant opportunity for creativity, growth, and professional development . Someone who enjoys creating systems, improving processes, and helping build the structure of a small law office will thrive in this role. Position Overview The Paralegal will work closely with attorneys and clients to support estate planning matters from initial intake through completion. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, comfortable communicating directly with clients, and able to take initiative in a growing office environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Communicate with clients regarding scheduling, appointments, and updates on their estate plans. Answer phones and handle new client intake. Schedule client meetings and manage calendars. Assist attorneys with drafting estate planning documents. Review documents for accuracy and completeness. Record deeds and file documents with courts and other appropriate offices. Maintain organized client files and documentation. Follow up with clients and assist attorneys in keeping matters on schedule. Help create and improve office systems and processes. Provide general paralegal and administrative support as needed.
Qualifications:
Prior paralegal or legal office experience preferred. Estate planning or probate experience is a plus. Formal paralegal education is not required, but is a plus. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Comfortable communicating directly with clients. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Self-motivated and willing to take initiative. Comfortable working in a small, collaborative office environment. Candidates currently located in Alaska are strongly preferred .
Compensation & Benefits:
