Job Description

Aafedt, Forde, Gray, Monson & Hager is a mid size law firm that specializes in mediation of workers compensation and civil disputes. Our firm is retained by major insurance carriers and companies. We are experienced in all forms of insurance litigation, including workers compensation, personal injury, property damage, product liability, automotive, construction, and premises liability.

8:00 am to 4:30 pm

Business Casual (casual on Fridays)

Position Description:

•To provide administrative and secretarial support to attorney's, paralegal, and/or law clerks of Aafedt, Forde, Gray, Monson & Hager, P.A.

Responsibilities:

• Organize files, transcribes, proofreads, photocopies, files, retrieves files, and provides general file support as needed. Transcribes letters, memos, reports, deposition summaries, worker compensation pleadings, and other documents, using Microsoft Word. Formats pleadings and serves documents at the direction of an attorney. Digital dictation experience required. Communicates with attorney to create an efficient work environment. Courteously and professionally handles telephone calls forwarded to attorneys. Maintains calendars and schedules appointments. Arranges meetings, makes appointments, and prepares and has readily available all supporting information. Coordinates medical evaluation appointments for injured parties and keeps all parties/attorneys apprised of information as needed. Deposition scheduling between parties, witnesses, experts, doctors, and others. Opens, date stamps, and reviews mail and determine its correct disposition. Assures that correspondence or other matters requiring attention are properly handled. Assists with or supervises projects as needed or as assigned. Assists co-workers with overload work as needed or as assigned. Attends secretarial meetings and participates in discussion regarding office procedures. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned or apparent.
