We are in search of a qualified experienced paralegal / office assistant for our new location. Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Paralegal to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will support a diverse range of legal practices, including complex litigation, legal malpractice claims, ethics claims and professional responsibilities, and more. This role requires strong organizational skills, excellent research abilities, and the capacity to handle confidential information with discretion. The Paralegal will assist attorneys with case management, legal research, document preparation, and client communication to ensure efficient case progression and compliance with procedural law. Duties Prepare and draft legal documents including contracts, pleadings, discovery requests, and correspondence with precision and adherence to procedural standards. Manage case files using document management systems and ensure all files are organized and up-to-date. Assist attorneys in client interviews by gathering relevant information and preparing summaries for case review. Support litigation processes through document review, filing court documents accurately within deadlines, and maintaining meticulous records of case activities. Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing calendars for court dates or client meetings, and providing executive administrative support when necessary. Communicate effectively with clients via phone or written correspondence while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality. Ensure compliance with procedural laws by understanding filing procedures across different jurisdictions. Qualifications Proven paralegal experience supporting multiple practice areas to include complex litigation. Strong knowledge of procedural law and familiarity with legal case management software and document review tools, including Smokeball and Adobe Acrobat Pro. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) along with strong word processing skills for drafting legal documents. Ability to handle confidential information discreetly while demonstrating high organizational skills. Experience in client communication and interviewing techniques; professional phone etiquette is essential. Strong proofreading and transcription skills to ensure accuracy in all documentation. Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple cases efficiently under tight deadlines.
