Description Robert Half is partnering with a highly regarded, growing Chicago-based law firm to identify a Litigation Paralegal for its General Liability practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated litigation professional seeking hands-on experience, direct attorney exposure, and long-term career growth within a collaborative and respected firm environment. The ideal candidate will have prior litigation experience handling discovery, depositions, medical records, and trial preparation.

Responsibilities:

+ Support attorneys throughout all phases of litigation from inception through trial.

+ Draft, compile, prepare, and organize discovery requests and responses.

+ Review, summarize, and abstract medical records.

+ Prepare medical chronologies and case summaries.

+ Coordinate depositions, hearings, mediations, and trial preparation.

+ Maintain and organize case files, pleadings, exhibits, and correspondence.

+ Manage document productions and discovery-related materials.

+ Track litigation deadlines and maintain case calendars.

+ Communicate with clients, experts, medical providers, opposing counsel, and court personnel.

+ Assist attorneys with trial preparation, exhibit management, and witness coordination.

+ Perform legal and administrative support functions as needed.

Requirements Requirements:

+ Paralegal certificate from an accredited program is required.

+ At least 2 years of experience in a litigation paralegal role is required.

+ Practical experience with discovery coordination, deposition preparation, and trial support is required.

+ Ability to review medical records and prepare accurate medical summaries or abstractions is strongly preferred.

+ Prior experience supporting Illinois litigation matters is required; exposure to Indiana matters is a plus.

+ Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent attention to detail are essential.

+ Ability to manage multiple assignments effectively in a deadline-driven legal environment is required.

+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case management software is required.
