This role works closely with attorneys, clients, courts, and community partners to provide legal support and advocacy. Key Responsibilities Support clients throughout the family law process and provide legal advocacy. Draft legal documents, correspondence, and client materials. Assist attorneys with discovery, mediation, hearings, and trial preparation. Manage court calendars, deadlines, and service of process. Maintain accurate case records and client documentation. Develop client service plans and coordinate referrals and community resources. Educate clients on legal rights, options, and safety planning. Collaborate with attorneys and multidisciplinary teams. Support legal education workshops and community legal clinics. Maintain required grant documentation and timesheets.

Qualifications Required:

Bachelor's degree in a related field. Family Law experience. Working knowledge of the Texas Family Code and Texas Rules of Civil Procedure. Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Valid Texas driver's license and current auto insurance. Ability to successfully complete a criminal background check and drug screening.

Preferred:

Certified Paralegal. Nonprofit or victim advocacy experience. Knowledge of criminal law. Experience working with survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, or trauma. Why Join Us?
