Overview We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Part-time Paralegal/Office Manager to join our legal team. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive administrative support to attorneys, including managing calendars, scheduling appointments, and coordinating meetings. Assist with legal research across various practice areas such as estate planning, environmental law, family law, civil litigation, and more. Prepare, review, and proofread legal documents, drafts, correspondence, and filings with attention to detail and accuracy. Manage case files using document management systems like iManage and Westlaw; ensure proper filing, indexing, and confidentiality of sensitive information. Conduct legal case management tasks including document review, tracking deadlines, and maintaining case databases using PCLaw or similar software. Support client communication through professional phone etiquette and timely email correspondence. Handle general office management duties such as ordering supplies, maintaining office equipment, and overseeing day-to-day administrative operations. Skills Proven experience as a paralegal or legal assistant with familiarity in multiple practice areas including criminal, estate planning, personal injury law, workers' compensation law, landlord-tenant law, family law, civil litigation support, and general & commercial litigation. Strong research skills utilizing LexisNexis and Westlaw for legal research and case analysis. Comfortable with mild bookkeeping and client invoicing, processing client payments. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) along with document management systems such as iManage or similar platforms. Experience with legal support software like PCLaw for billing and case tracking; familiarity with document review processes. Exceptional written communication skills for drafting legal documents and client correspondence. Ability to handle confidential information discreetly while maintaining professionalism at all times. Knowledge of procedural law requirements across different jurisdictions; ability to assist attorneys with filing procedures and court documentation. Strong proofreading skills ensuring accuracy in all legal documents before submission or filing.
