Flexible Scheduling Available About the Opportunity We are a growing personal injury law firm located in downtown Jacksonville focused on delivering high-quality results and exceptional client service. Unlike high-volume firms, our office intentionally maintains smaller caseloads to allow for more meaningful client interaction, stronger case development, and better overall outcomes. We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Paralegal / Case Manager to join our team in either a full-time or part-time capacity. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow within a collaborative and supportive environment while gaining hands-on responsibility managing cases directly. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, a strong communicator, and capable of solving day-to-day issues independently while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail. Position Overview This role will involve managing a small pre-suit and post-suit caseload while serving as the primary liaison for clients throughout the life of their cases. Our firm prioritizes quality over quantity, and as a result, caseloads are intentionally smaller than what is typical at many personal injury firms — generally ranging from approximately 15-25 active cases. Candidates who enjoy autonomy, client interaction, and a detail-driven work environment will thrive in this position. We are open to both full-time and part-time candidates, though there is a slight preference toward candidates seeking approximately 25-30 hours per week in a flexible part-time schedule. What We're Looking For Someone with some prior plaintiff-side personal injury experience, but not extensive long-term experience at high-volume firms A strong problem solver who can navigate minor roadblocks and day-to-day case issues with minimal oversight once trained A quick learner who can adapt to detailed internal systems and processes Someone dependable who is looking for a long-term opportunity A highly organized and detail-oriented professional Strong verbal and written communication skills Candidates with litigation exposure are a plus Candidates with exclusively defense-side experience may not be the best fit for our approach and client philosophy Qualifications Prior experience working within a plaintiff personal injury law firm preferred Minimum 1 year of relevant legal support or case management experience preferred Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Ability to manage deadlines and work independently Excellent proofreading and written communication skills Experience drafting legal correspondence and documentation Familiarity with legal document management systems and electronic filing Strong client communication and customer service skills Litigation experience is a plus Key Responsibilities Manage a small pre-suit and post-suit caseload from intake through resolution Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients Maintain regular communication with clients regarding case status and next steps Gather, organize, and maintain case documentation and records Prepare and proofread legal correspondence and demand packages Obtain medical records, bills, and supporting case documentation Assist with drafting legal documents and case-related materials Coordinate with attorneys, medical providers, experts, and insurance representatives Maintain accurate electronic filing systems and case management records Assist other support staff and attorneys as needed Compensation & Benefits (Full-Time) Competitive compensation package pending YOE Health insurance, disability coverage, and standard benefits beginning after the first month. 401(k) with 3% employer match beginning after 12 months $5,000 anniversary bonus after successful completion of one year Opportunity for remote work 1-2 days per week after onboarding and training is completed.
