About the Job Brooks Kushman is seeking an experienced Trademark Paralegal to join our internationally recognized team. This position offers the opportunity to work directly with attorneys, clients, foreign counsel, and trademark professionals around the world in managing and protecting valuable trademark portfolios for leading brands. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience supporting trademark prosecution, clearance, enforcement, and portfolio management matters in a fast-paced law firm environment. Responsibilities Manage domestic and international trademark portfolios for a diverse client base. Prepare, file, and prosecute trademark applications and related submissions before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). Prepare and file Statements of Use, Declarations of Use, Renewals, Assignments, and other maintenance filings. Conduct trademark clearance and availability searches utilizing commercial search platforms and analyze search results for attorney review. Review, docket, and monitor trademark deadlines, including prosecution, maintenance, opposition, and renewal deadlines. Maintain accurate records and data within trademark docketing and portfolio management systems. Coordinate with foreign associates regarding international trademark filings and prosecution matters. Prepare reporting correspondence and status updates for clients. Assist with trademark watch notices, enforcement matters, TTAB proceedings, and portfolio audits. Communicate directly with clients regarding filings, deadlines, and trademark portfolio management issues. Support attorneys in preparation of trademark-related agreements, filings, and client presentations. Ensure compliance with internal procedures, client requirements, and USPTO rules. Qualifications Bachelor's degree, Paralegal Certificate, or equivalent experience preferred. Minimum of 5 years of trademark paralegal experience in a law firm or corporate legal department. Demonstrated experience with trademark prosecution before the USPTO. Strong knowledge of USPTO procedures and trademark maintenance requirements. Experience conducting trademark clearance and knockout searches. Experience using trademark docketing and portfolio management systems. Familiarity with international trademark prosecution and Madrid Protocol filings preferred. Experience with TTAB filings and procedures is a plus. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Work Location :

Hybrid remote in Royal Oak, MI but open to fully remote.
