Experienced Family Law & Criminal Law Paralegal We are seeking a highly organized, motivated, and detail-oriented Family Law & Criminal Law Paralegal to join our growing legal team. The ideal candidate is compassionate when working with clients, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and can effectively manage multiple priorities while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.

Responsibilities:

Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, correspondence, and other legal documents. Prepare and organize case files from intake through resolution. Maintain attorney calendars, schedule hearings, mediations, depositions, and client meetings. Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and third parties. Prepare trial notebooks, exhibits, and hearing materials. Assist with discovery, subpoenas, and document production. File legal documents electronically with state and federal courts. Track deadlines and ensure compliance with court rules. Support attorneys with trial preparation and case management.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 1 year of experience as a paralegal, preferably in family law and/or criminal defense. Strong knowledge of court procedures, legal terminology, and filing requirements. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Exceptional organizational and time management abilities. Ability to work independently while collaborating with attorneys and staff. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal case management software. Paralegal certificate preferred but not required with relevant experience.
