Maintains and organizes files or file databases. Conducts legal or other background research, assists with preparation for trials or hearings, and drafts documents to be filed. Uses software for electronic discovery of materials such as email for a trial. May specialize in a particular area of the law such as corporate or criminal law, family law or real estate law.

Page & Cook, PC is a family law firm looking for a Legal Receptionist/Front Office Legal Assistant to join our team. This position involves working within a fast-paced, high-volume, and client-centered office environment. The candidate must demonstrate an upbeat friendly attitude with excellent communication skills , as well as, possess the ability to multi-task with a keen sense of detail and organizational skills. Responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to: Greeting clients upon arrival to the firm. Answering telephones, scheduling appointments, and relaying detailed and accurate messages to attorneys. Performing conflict of interest checks using the firm's database. Sending invoices and accepting payment via the firm's credit card system. Opening client files and scanning documents to the correct file. Inputting client's statistical data into internal case management software. Preparing cover letters and mailing pleadings and other documents to Courts and other third parties. Organizing and prioritize numerous tasks and complete them under strict deadlines . Operating and maintaining standard office equipment such as photocopiers, computers, and e-fax. Providing general administrative assistance to attorney(s) and paralegal(s). Occasionally traveling to local court's to assist with filing or retrieving legal documents. Law firm experience is strongly preferred. Salary is based upon experience. •
