The Collections Paralegal plays a key role in supporting our legal team by managing a high volume of consumer and commercial debt collection cases. With responsibility for document review, legal research, and client communication, this position requires strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate case management and timely court filings. The Collections Paralegal works primarily with LexisNexis, ProLaw, and Microsoft programs to maintain case files and track deadlines efficiently, all while supporting the team in a fast-paced legal environment. This is an in-office position, not remote. Hiring for this position will be hourly during a 30-60 day trial period, transitioning to full time Salaried employee. Responsibilities Review and analyze legal documents related to collections and replevin cases Data entry for bankruptcy, collection, litigation and replevin cases Communicate with clients regarding case status and documentation Manage 50-100 collection cases monthly, ensuring all documentation is current File legal documents accurately and promptly with courts as required Enter and organize data within case management systems Maintain organized and up-to-date case files Track deadlines and ensure timely responses to court and client requirements Draft and prepare legal documents and correspondence under attorney supervision Required Qualifications Minimum 2 years experience working in collections law Preferred Qualifications Experience with legal research and document management Knowledge of court filing and e-filing procedures in Tennessee and debt collection laws Strong communication and time management skills Attention to detail Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite Ability to research and track down debtors and debtor companies, and potential assets for debtors Previous collection and litigation experience in Georgia beneficial but not required About Ferraro Hancock and Associates, PLLCFerraro Hancock and Associates, PLLC ("FHA") is a boutique law firm formed in 1992 to provide a full range of services to lenders and creditors, from loan origination and documentation to bankruptcy, litigation, workouts, real estate matters and collection services.
