A Paralegal or Legal Assistant assists attorneys and law offices with a variety of tasks ranging from administrative support to legal research and writing. Maintains and organizes files or file databases. Conducts legal or other background research, assists with preparation for trials or hearings, and drafts documents to be filed. Uses software for electronic discovery of materials such as email for a trial. May specialize in a particular area of the law such as corporate or criminal law, family law or real estate law.

Job Description
- Draft and proofread correspondence and standard legal documents
- Review invoices and monitor expenses
- Maintain attorney calendar
- Conduct legal research and retrieve documents from databases, directories and spreadsheets
- Prepare and organize files, copy, compile and index evidence and exhibits
- Prepare trial notebooks, documents and exhibits
- Review docket control and scheduling orders to calendar deadlines
- Review post reminders for deadlines for different cases
- Calendar deadlines
- Organize regulatory filings
- Research applicable laws
- Provides friendly and accurate customer service by answering phone calls and greeting visitors
- Direct phone calls or visitors to correct person, agency or department or takes message
- Sort and distribute mail, schedule and calendar meetings, maintain and order supplies and maintain and update filing
- Review procurement, contracts, insurance and bonds
- Draft contracts, exhibits and related documents
- Organize claim documents

- Associate's Degree (AA/AS); or 2 year technical certificate
- Two (2) years of experience Required
- A valid driver's license is required; successful out-of-state candidates must be able to obtain a valid Texas driver's license within 90 days of hire Employment Testing Employment is contingent on passing any post-offer pre-employment screening as listed below:
