Our client is a small, boutique personal injury law firm with over 10 years of experience. This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with an attorney and play a key role in supporting the day-to-day legal operations of a growing practice.
Position Overview:
As a Paralegal / Legal Assistant, you will provide essential administrative and legal support to ensure the smooth and efficient handling of cases. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage a high-volume workload in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Assisting the attorney with document review and preparation Conducting legal research using various resources Managing, organizing, and tracking case files Coordinating and scheduling meetings, depositions, and court appearances E-filing pleadings through applicable databases Proofreading legal documents for accuracy and completeness Managing a high volume of email communication and correspondence
Qualifications & Skills:
Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously Proactive mindset with a strong willingness to learn and grow Strong comprehension, attention to detail, and proofreading abilities Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information Strong written and verbal communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Adobe, Outlook) Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment This is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow within a collaborative, hands-on legal environment while gaining valuable experience in personal injury law.
