This is a fast-paced role requiring strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.

Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Location:
Sugar Land, Texas (not remote) Responsibilities Manage cases from intake through resolution, keeping deadlines and next steps on track Review Plaintiff's discovery responses and identify providers, gaps, and needed records Coordinate medical records retrieval through vendors (authorizations, subpoenas/DWQs, tracking, follow-up) Work closely with nurse paralegals to ensure medical summaries are complete and accurate Prepare clear, concise updates to the attorney and insurance carriers, including summaries of opposing discovery Assist with deposition preparation, including organizing and identifying key medical records Coordinate with experts and ensure they receive complete, organized materials Monitor issues with record requests (e.g., Motions to Quash, missing HIPAA, delays) and ensure timely resolution Assist with responses to written discovery and overall case management Attend and assist at trial as needed Work with clients to gather information and assist in preparing responses to written discovery Position includes billable work; however, there is no minimum billable hour requirement Collaborative team environment with strong support, including nurse paralegals (medical summaries), a legal assistant (calendaring, document management, transcription), and additional litigation support, while maintaining ownership of assigned cases Perform other duties as required Requirements 5+ years civil litigation experience (insurance defense strongly preferred) Strong familiarity with medical records and billing Ability to understand how medical records impact case strategy, even if not responsible for preparing full summaries Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive Comfortable managing multiple cases and communicating with attorneys, clients, and experts Technical Skills Advanced proficiency in: Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat (organizing large PDFs, Bates labeling) Working knowledge of: Microsoft Excel, Case management systems (Time Matters a plus) Benefits Medical, dental, and vision insurance (employer paid), 401(k), paid vacation, holidays, and sick leave
