A Paralegal or Legal Assistant assists attorneys and law offices with a variety of tasks ranging from administrative support to legal research and writing. Maintains and organizes files or file databases. Conducts legal or other background research, assists with preparation for trials or hearings, and drafts documents to be filed. Uses software for electronic discovery of materials such as email for a trial. May specialize in a particular area of the law such as corporate or criminal law, family law or real estate law.

Job Description
- Supporting the corporate secretary function for TEAM's subsidiaries, including preparing resolutions to elect new officers and directors of subsidiary companies using pre-existing forms, coordinating with outside firms or international employees on the resolutions for international subsidiaries, maintaining our CSC database system for all subsidiaries showing officers and directors and which generates legal entity charts.
- Prepares applications, renewals and payment requests for business/contractor licenses, registrations and permits. Ensures contractor/business licenses, registrations and permits remain current and active, and do not lapse.
- Supports compliance on 3rd parties, including sales agents, by using NAVEX database system to obtain risk assessments on 3rd parties and sales agents, and coordinating forms to be completed by international sales agents, including questionnaires and annual certifications.
- Coordinates online legal compliance with training group.
- Prepare agreements using template forms (e.g. confidentiality agreements).
- Potentially support lawyers with contract reviews.
- Manages the policies under the responsibility of the Legal Department.
- Handles the cataloging and retention of Legal files.
- Perform other duties for the Legal Department as requested. Job Qualifications
- High school diploma required, college degree is bonus.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Paralegal, OR minimum of 5 years' experience as a Legal Administrator or Contracts Administrator required.
- Paralegal certification preferred.
- Must be well organized with an attention to detail as well as diligent in driving projects to completion
- Must have good communications skills in order to work with both external and internal groups to ensure the effective collection and sharing of information
- Must be comfortable with extensive computer usage as well as learning the technical systems used in support of the job function (corporate/compliance databases, etc.)
- A person in this position should expect to work independently and efficiently under little supervision beyond the initial training period
- Notary public preferred (or willingness to obtain Notary Public status)
