A growing, family-owned law firm serving Terrell, Rockwall, and Waxahachie, Texas, is seeking an experienced Civil & Personal Injury Paralegal to serve as the backbone of our litigation team, housed in Waxahachie, Texas. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, proactive paralegal who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has hands-on experience managing personal injury and civil litigation cases from intake through trial and settlement . In this position, you will play a critical role in case strategy, organization, and execution , ensuring that every detail is handled before, during, and after litigation. You will work closely with our attorneys to move cases forward efficiently while providing an exceptional client experience. This position is based in our Waxahachie office. Responsibilities Conduct pre-suit and pre-claim investigations , including gathering police reports, medical records, witness statements, and insurance information Perform legal research and case evaluations to assist attorneys in developing liability and damages strategies Draft and file pleadings, motions, discovery requests/responses, and correspondence in accordance with court rules and deadlines Manage case files from intake through resolution , ensuring all documentation is accurate, organized, and up to date Maintain pleading and discovery indexes , including tracking interrogatories, requests for production, and responses Coordinate and track medical treatment records, billing, and liens (health insurance, Medicare/Medicaid, etc.) Communicate with clients, insurance adjusters, medical providers, and opposing counsel regarding case status and documentation Assist attorneys in preparing demand packages and settlement negotiations , including compiling supporting evidence and damages summaries Organize and prepare exhibits, evidence, and trial materials for mediations, hearings, and trial Calendar and manage critical deadlines , including statutes of limitation, court dates, depositions, and mediations Qualifications 4+ years of paralegal experience , with a strong preference for civil litigation and personal injury experience Working knowledge of Texas civil procedure , discovery process, and litigation timelines (or relevant state experience) Experience handling personal injury cases , including medical records, billing, liens, and demand preparation Strong understanding of motions, discovery, evidence, and court filing procedures Ability to manage high-volume caseloads and prioritize competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment Excellent writing, communication, and organizational skills with strong attention to detail Proficient in case management software, document management systems, and e-filing platforms (Mac experience preferred) Paralegal Associate Degree or certification preferred
