Job Description

About us: Dempsey Law Firm LLP is seeking a full-time Legal Assistant / Paralegal to join our Oshkosh office. This position combines legal assistant and paralegal responsibilities, providing both administrative and substantive support to attorneys. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, dependable, and able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of professionalism and client service.
Responsibilities:
Prepare, revise, and organize legal documents and correspondence Maintain case files and monitor deadlines Communicate professionally with attorneys, clients, courts, and third parties Assist attorneys with substantive legal support work and case management Schedule meetings, appointments, and deadlines Maintain and organize client and matter records Perform administrative support tasks including filing, scanning, and answering phones
Qualifications Required Skills & Experience:
Minimum two years of prior legal experience required Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills Excellent attention to detail Ability to manage a high volume of work and meet deadlines Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities Technology proficiency and ability to learn new systems quickly Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Professionalism, initiative, and reliability
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Microsoft Office and Outlook Probate experience
