POSITION OVERVIEW JOB SUMMARY

Student Patrollers (SPs) are primarily responsible for enforcing parking regulations by way of issuing citations to vehicles or by immobilizing vehicles with the use of vehicle wheel clamps. You will patrol parking lots and report the existence of hazardous conditions. Since Patrollers mainly work outdoors, you must be able to handle all possible weather conditions where issuing citations is practical. As an employee in Parking & Transportation Services, you will be required to become familiar with UWF Parking Regulations. Other duties include, but are not limited to: Answering parking-related questions in the office, assigning virtual permits, installing signage, assisting at the Visitor's Center, assisting in traffic and crowd control for events on campus, removing and replacing signs, and other parking services related tasks. Occasionally, during slow periods, you may be asked to assist in other departments.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Must be a student currently enrolled for credit at UWF or any other Florida college or university. Must possess a valid driver's license to operate the License Plate Recognition (LPR) vehicle.

Must be a student currently enrolled for credit at UWF or any other Florida college or university. Must provide proof of enrollment each semester (via registration or fee payment receipt) if attending an institution other than

UWF. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with others. Strong conflict resolution skills, with the ability to safely de-escalate difficult or stressful customer service situations. Keen attention to detail, including the ability to accurately observe, assess, and record hazardous conditions in parking lots. Basic mathematical proficiency for handling minor calculations. Ability to lift and move heavy objects as needed. No prior work experience is required; must have a strong willingness to learn and actively participate in ongoing job training.
