Parking Enforcement Officer (Part-Time)

Hourly Rate:

Starting at $17/hr

Hours:

~10 hours per week (varies based on event schedule)

Schedule:

Nights, weekends, and weekdays as needed Overview The Parking Enforcement Officer plays a crucial role in maintaining order and safety in public and private parking areas. This position involves monitoring parking regulations, ensuring compliance, and providing excellent customer service to the public. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong sense of responsibility, professionalism, and the ability to handle various situations effectively. Duties Monitor parking areas to ensure compliance with local regulations and policies. Issue citations for violations of parking laws and regulations. Engage with the public to provide information regarding parking rules and assist with inquiries. Conduct regular patrols of designated areas to deter illegal parking and ensure safety. Document incidents and prepare detailed reports on violations and interactions with the public. Collaborate with law enforcement and security personnel as necessary to address issues or conflicts. Maintain accurate records of citations issued and follow up on outstanding violations. Skills Excellent conflict management skills to handle disputes calmly and effectively. Proficient in customer service, demonstrating a friendly and approachable demeanor when interacting with the public. Strong observational skills to identify violations and assess situations accurately. This position requires a proactive individual who can work independently while contributing positively to community safety and compliance efforts. Requirements Valid Driver's License (required for travel between locations). Reliable transportation and commute between parking locations. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Problem-solving ability with a high level of organization and time management. Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
