at State of Delaware in New Castle, Delaware, United States Job Description Youth who are new to Delaware's juvenile justice system are guided through a bifurcated/non-bifurcated sentencing process. The assessors are responsible for completing a risk/needs assessment for adjudicated delinquent youth and those awaiting sentencing. Additionally, they conduct youth/family interviews, verify collateral information, prepare a written report, and testify to relevant items in court. This process is a testament to our commitment to ensuring youth are connected to services, supports, and programs based on their risk of re-offending and identified needs.
