Juvenile Service Specialist Looking for a DYNAMIC team members to add to our growing Juvenile Services Team. This position would be primarily in the Kearney area (youth are assigned based on the Team Member's location). Our Juvenile Service Specialists work hand-in-hand with Juvenile Probation. If this still sounds of interest to you, here is a little more of the "formal" nuts and bolts: DUTIES Juvenile Service Specialists provide individualized services to youth on their caseload who are involved in the court system and Juvenile Probation. In supporting the program guidelines,

Juvenile Service Staff:

Conduct face to face sessions at various locations with youth assigned Develop and maintain helping relationship emphasizing youth accountability Provide objective written documentation of the youth's compliance/non-compliance with court ordered requirements. Complete required documentation, including discharge information, for assigned youth in an accurate and timely manner. Enter data and reports promptly into NPACS and Omega. Notify supervisor and Probation Officer immediately in the event of a youth crisis, suspected illegal activity or any other youth or program incident Regular and punctual attendance at all appointments Participate in weekly or monthly meetings with the youth's Probation Officer to discuss the youth's progress. Work collaboratively with team members and willing to help out others when needed (case coverage, etc). Maintain appropriate boundaries with youth at all times. Understand and respect client confidentiality Attend mandatory trainings Possess a spirit of flexibility Seek supervision when needed

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in the Criminal Justice Field and/or Equivalent Work, Education & Life Experience. Own reliable vehicle with a clear driving record (no more than 3 points assessed against your license). Minimum MV Insurance requirements are 100/300. Ability to pass a thorough background check including but not limited to: Local, State and National Criminal History Adult/Child Abuse Registry National Sex Offender Registry Educational & Work Verification Driver's License Check Drug Screen Ability to work non-traditional hours and days. Our organization is open 7 days per week and team members must have the flexibility to work evenings and weekends and respond to crisis situations. Excellent oral and written communication skills. CPR/First-Aide Certified Ability to type at least 55 wpm and excellent computer skills. Passionate, objective and non-judgmental disposition. Dedicated with a strong work history of longevity and regular attendance. Bilingual Differential of $0.53/hr
