Responsibilities Conduct thorough interviews with juvenile clients, their families, and other stakeholders to assess needs and develop case plans. Monitor youth compliance with court orders through regular home visits, office contacts, and community-based activities. Apply motivational interviewing techniques to motivate positive behavioral changes in juvenile clients. Manage case documentation accurately using Microsoft Office tools and maintain comprehensive records of client progress. Respond effectively to crises or emergencies involving juveniles, utilizing crisis management skills to de-escalate situations. Collaborate with law enforcement agencies, social services, schools, and community organizations to coordinate support services. Prepare detailed reports for court proceedings, documenting client progress, violations, and intervention outcomes. Maintain knowledge of procedural law, criminal law, criminal procedure, and courtroom procedures relevant to juvenile cases. Conduct interviews with clients in accordance with legal terminology and juvenile justice system protocols. Handle firearms responsibly during law enforcement activities when necessary, adhering strictly to safety standards. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice, Psychology, Social Work or related field or its equivalent with a minimum 18 credits in Social Sciences.

AND Experience:

At least 2 years of experience which has involved substant contact with juvenile clients. Possesson of a Master's Degree in psychology, social work, counseling or criminal justice may be substituted for up to two years of the general experience requirement. Prior experience working with youth or in social services is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of the juvenile justice system, criminal law, procedural law, and courtroom procedures. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for report writing and case management documentation. Excellent communication skills for interviewing clients and engaging with diverse populations. Ability to handle stressful situations effectively through crisis management techniques. Valid driver's license with experience operating standard passenger cars for community supervision activities. Familiarity with legal terminology relevant to community supervision and social services practices is a plus.
