Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Probation Compliance Officer to join our community supervision team. In this vital role, you will oversee the monitoring and support of individuals on probation, ensuring adherence to court-ordered conditions while promoting rehabilitation and public safety. Your energetic approach and strong communication skills will help foster positive change, enforce legal requirements, and collaborate effectively with law enforcement, social services, and community partners. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact through proactive supervision, case management, and client engagement. Duties Conduct thorough interviews with clients to assess their needs, risks, and compliance levels using motivational interviewing techniques. Monitor probationers' activities through regular home visits, office contacts, and electronic tracking systems to ensure adherence to court orders. Enforce probation conditions by identifying violations, initiating appropriate interventions, and collaborating with law enforcement when necessary. Prepare detailed reports documenting client progress, violations, and case developments for court hearings and internal review. Provide crisis management support by responding swiftly to emergencies or behavioral issues involving probationers. Facilitate access to social services, mental health resources, educational programs, and employment opportunities to support clients' rehabilitation goals. Maintain accurate case management records using Microsoft Office tools and specialized community supervision software while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with procedural law. Experience Proven experience in criminal law, juvenile justice system procedures, or community supervision is highly desirable. Strong background in law enforcement practices, including firearms handling and courtroom procedures. Skilled in interviewing clients effectively while demonstrating motivational interviewing techniques that encourage positive behavioral change. Knowledge of criminal procedure, legal terminology, social services systems, and social work principles related to client support. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple cases efficiently through case management systems and report writing skills. Excellent communication skills for working with youth, families, law enforcement agencies, courts, and community organizations. $62,016.00 - $72,924.00 per year
