Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and highly experienced EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) Director to lead our organization's commitment to workplace safety, environmental stewardship, and regulatory compliance. In this pivotal role, you will develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive EHS programs that promote a safe working environment while ensuring adherence to all applicable environmental and occupational health regulations. Responsibilities Develop, implement, and maintain robust EHS policies aligned with regulatory standards such as OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration), EPA (Environmental Protection Agency), and local environmental laws. Lead hazard identification, risk assessments, root cause analysis, and incident investigations to prevent workplace accidents and environmental incidents. Oversee compliance with hazardous materials regulations, environmental management systems, and safety regulations across manufacturing or production facilities. Coordinate employee training programs on safety procedures, emergency response (including CPR and first aid), OSHA standards, and environmental health practices to foster a safety-first culture. Monitor workplace safety metrics, prepare detailed report writing on incidents or compliance audits, and recommend corrective actions for continuous improvement. Manage workers' compensation law compliance processes and liaise with legal teams regarding claims or regulatory inquiries. Promote environmental health initiatives by ensuring adherence to environmental regulatory compliance standards in production processes. Lead efforts in environmental health management including waste reduction, pollution control measures, and sustainability projects. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure regulatory/legal compliance standards are integrated into daily operations. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in occupational health regulations, hazardous materials regulations, and environmental laws affecting the organization. Skills Extensive knowledge of OSHA safety regulations, EPA standards, hazardous materials regulations, and environmental management systems. Proven experience in manufacturing or production environments with a focus on workplace safety and environmental compliance. Strong expertise in occupational health principles including employee health (regulatory compliance standards) and environmental health practices. Excellent report writing skills coupled with analytical abilities for root cause analysis and incident investigations. Ability to develop comprehensive training & development programs tailored to diverse workforce needs. Effective leadership skills with the capacity to influence organizational safety culture positively. Familiarity with workers' compensation law processes and legal compliance requirements related to workplace injuries.
