Position Summary:
Supervise and coordinate the activities of the Site Safety section staff. Plan, implement, and coordinate safety programs, requiring application of engineeringprinciples and technology, to prevent or correct unsafe environmental working conditions. Ensure HMMA safety principles are carried out in an automotivemanufacturing environment.
Essential Functions:
Manage people, projects, and resources for the Site Safety section of the Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) department.
Develop, implement, and monitor programs and policies to comply with OSHA standards.
Serve as Safety Management System coordinator to identify risks, track and react to incidents and hazards, achieve and maintain OHSAS 18001compliance, 100% audit readiness, and drive continual safety performance improvement at HMMA.
Develop partnership with manufacturing to support customer safety needs.
Develop and support the HMMA Safety Culture - Management and Team Member training.
Provide a safe and healthful workplace for Team Members - equipment and process checks.
Administer, coordinate, and comply with all Business Management System (BMS), Environmental Management System (EMS), and Safety Management
System (SMS) requirements. Team Member may be required to handle hazardous wastes which may include identifying, inspecting, packaging, labelling,and moving waste in compliance with RCRA regulations. Relevant training will be provided if assigned these job duties.

Bachelor's Degree or equivalentdesired

Access Demonstrated technical knowledge relating to OSHA , ergonomics, industrial hygiene, and automotive safety
Additional Information:
Position may require occasional travel (domestic or foreign). Flexibility in working hours to include weekends, holidays, and off shift. Position may require on-callduty or overtime due to overall responsibility.
