Applicants should possess a CT Guard Card and display superior customer service skills as a prerequisite for employment. Serving our partners is our top priority. We strive to provide clients with industry safeguards and best practices in order to operate their business in the proper manner. Sparks Security will be providing on-site security and compliance services.
Qualifications:
Must have the ability to function optimally in a stressful environment, and the ability to remain calm in emotionally charged situations. Must have a valid drivers license. Proficient in operation electronic security equipment, including but not limited to CCTV, radios and other security systems. Bachelors degree in Health & Safety, Environmental Health or related field experience. Experience working within the guidelines of the Joint Commission, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, OSHA & the National Fire Protection Association. Minimum of one year of experience in conducting training. Ability to lift and transport items up to 50lbs. Ability to stand, walk and patrol for extended periods covering various terrains.
Job Responsibilities:
Developing, coordinating and implementing occupational health procedures. Foster a safe environment for all of those in your chain of command. Collaborate with management to develop a safe and secure environment. Ensure compliance with all state / federal safety laws, regulations, rules & codes. Identify and minimize accidents and workplace injuries . Conduct employee training to include updates in applicable safety standards. Conduct Fire Drills and prepare written reports. Inspect, document and create work orders for Environmental Life Safety Rounds. Coordinate with alarm company to resolve deficiencies in fire or security alarm systems and document repairs. Collect hazardous waste and troubleshoot minor repairs to medical equipment and coordinate the necessary repairs. Other duties assigned by
Sparks Security Required Skills:
Military or law enforcement background preferred but not a requirement. Able to pass pre-employment background check (including fingerprint clearance) and drug test. Able to legally operate a motor vehicle. Able to work in all weather conditions and extreme temperatures.
