Located conveniently on the Wilmington River , we pride ourselves on providing exceptional marine services with a focus on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. Overview We are seeking an experienced proactive and detail-oriented Site Safety Manager to lead our safety initiatives across our marine repair and refit operations. This role is vital in fostering a safety-first culture, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and managing risk on our construction sites. Responsibilities Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive safety programs tailored to marine construction and repair activities. Conduct regular site inspections to identify hazards, enforce safety protocols, and ensure compliance with
OSHA, NEC
(National Electrical Code), and other relevant standards. Manage occupational health initiatives to promote worker well-being and prevent injuries related to construction activities. Lead incident investigations, prepare detailed reports, and implement corrective actions to mitigate future risks. Coordinate with project managers to ensure construction management software accurately reflects safety compliance status. Provide training sessions on OSHA regulations, workers' compensation procedures, EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) practices, and construction site safety protocols. Monitor adherence to OSHA standards, NEC codes, workers' compensation policies, and other legal requirements. Experience Proven experience in safety management within the marine industry. Strong knowledge of risk management strategies and occupational health best practices. Familiarity with OSHA regulations, NEC standards, EHS programs, and compliance management systems. Hands-on experience using management software for safety tracking and reporting. Demonstrated ability to lead safety training initiatives and conduct thorough incident investigations. Site experience emphasizing safety oversight in complex or large-scale projects is highly preferred. Join us as a Site Safety Manager to champion a culture of safety excellence!
