projects across the U.S. Site Safety Managers are placed on project sites for the duration of the build (typically 8-12 months) and then transition to the next project. This is onsite, working on the project site, working hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:00am to 5:00pm local time or other working hours the site may establish. Overtime and weekend working hours will be required as needed. Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION & RESPONSIBILITIES
Work with site EPC personnel to implement and manage a proactive behavior-based approach to Health & Safety. This includes a strong emphasis on personal responsibility, incident prevention and a management systems approach to compliance. Supports the development of H&S policies, programs and procedures to establish a culture of health and safety. Ensures compliance with all regulatory bodies and standards (including OSHA, EPA, etc.). Continuously evaluating employees and contractors practices, procedures to assess and reduce risks for the benefit of employees and contractors. Lead accident or mishap investigations to identify causes and recommend improvement opportunities and preventive and corrective measures. Visit work areas to conduct safety audits on personnel, equipment, materials and adherence to work requirements. Perform periodic safety and health risk assessments and compliance audits to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent experience Minimum of 5 years of general construction experience 2 years managerial experience preferred 3 years of solar industry experience preferred Have an operational knowledge of construction safety, OSHA, ANSI, and other applicable standards, regulations, laws, and procedures

Able to climb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolding, stairways, etc. Stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or work at elevated heights as well as in confined spaces (towers, vessels, excavations, etc.) Able to walk or move continuously while carrying 50 lbs. of tools and/or materials.
