Monday- Friday, 8 hours per day About Us Atomatic Mechanical Services is a leading full service mechanical contractor specializing in HVAC and mechanical systems.
- putting the well-being of our employees and customers first.
- Performs Job Site Inspections and walk-throughs as requested and unannounced
- exercises informed judgment and discretion to identify and resolve any safety related concerns
- Provides Company-wide safety support, such as JHAs, Site-specific safety plans, Method of Procedure (MOP) reports
- Prepares and communicates safety notices and reminders, such as Weekly Toolbox Talk emails, All-Company Safety Alerts, employee safety issue write-ups, "days without incident' tracking
- Provides and keeps current all Safety Training for entire company, including quarterly field safety meetings, new-hires onboarding and annual all-employee meeting. Training covers safety policies and procedures, safe operation of equipment and creating a safe work environment (Group-specific content for Construction, Controls and Service Groups and Office personnel)
- Manages incident investigation process (injury, vehicle, info-only) and works with HR Department to manage insurance claims, vehicle repairs, etc.
- Prepares
OSHA 300/300A
reports and other safety data reporting. Periodically reports to the Leadership Team on the overall safety condition of the Company.- Maintains Safety Program Manual. Monitors and enforces up-to-date written Health & Safety program that incorporates company policies, procedures and regulatory compliance protocols.
- Understands OSHA and other Federal and state safety and health regulations and monitors changes as they occur.
- Participates in Fleet Management ▪ GPS/Telematics system (monitors driving Scores and follow-up with drivers as needed, device management) ▪ Delivery/Shop trucks daily inspection reports ▪ Delivery trucks
- proper load securement ▪ Driver complaint phone calls
- handles as needed
- Selects, inventories and distributes all Personal Protective Equipment
- Safety Inspections of equipment
- annual ladder, lanyards, harness and rigging and random inspections of other equipment (rental and company-owned), as required
- Manages SDS/hazard communication program
- Schedules quarterly jobsite safety walkthroughs with Insurance Risk Manager Other Functions
- Manages safety incentive programs which reward targeted behaviors & results
- Leads and participates in company Safety Committee
- Other duties as assigned Required Education and Experience
- 5+ years of progressive construction safety experience, with time spent in a managerial leadership role overseeing multiple active job sites and managing/leading a structured safety program
- Bachelor's degree in environmental health & safety, safety management, construction or related field.
- 30-hour OSHA with trainer status in General Industry or Construction to start
- Safety Director Certificate through the NASP or CSP equivalent (and ongoing safety education)
- In-depth technical knowledge of construction related OSHA, federal, state, and local regulatory standards, and ability to recognize hazardous situations and implement effective corrective practices
- Qualified to conduct training on construction equipment, including, but not limited to, Aerial lifts, Scissor Lifts, and Forklifts
- Working knowledge of DOT Rules and Regulations Competencies
- Knowledge of the safe use and operation of Construction Equipment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent presenting and training skills
- Excellent computer skills including experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Strong organizational skills
- Adept problem-solving capabilities
- Proven judgment in evaluating and responding to complex workplace events and circumstances.
Salary:
$100,000- $120,000 per year
