This role is key to developing and managing safety programs that ensure regulatory compliance and protect the health and well-being of our employees and operations.•
What You'll Do:
Safety Program Leadership:
  • Develop and maintain safety programs aligned with OSHA, SQF, USDA, and FDA regulations
  • Deliver engaging safety training on equipment use, hazard prevention, and emergency response
  • Conduct facility-wide risk assessments and internal audits to identify and mitigate safety risks
Incident Response & Reporting:
  • Lead investigations of workplace accidents, document root causes, and implement corrective actions
  • Maintain accurate records of incidents, inspections, and regulatory reporting
Facility & Equipment Safety Oversight:
  • Perform regular safety inspections of the plant, equipment, and workstations
  • Collaborate with operations and maintenance to ensure safe, ergonomic working conditions
Emergency Preparedness:
  • Create and manage emergency response plans for fires, natural disasters, and hazardous spills
  • Coordinate and conduct emergency drills and employee response training
Continuous Improvement & Culture Building:
  • Promote a proactive safety culture through coaching, visibility, and cross-departmental collaboration
  • Analyze safety data to identify trends, drive performance improvements, and support operational goals
  • What You Bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or related field (preferred)
  • 5+ years of safety leadership experience in food manufacturing or a regulated plant environment
  • Certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or
OSHA 30/510
strongly preferred
  • Deep knowledge of OSHA, USDA, SQF, and local safety regulations
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with experience building and maintaining a safety-first culture
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams, influence at all levels, and drive compliance
