Job Description

Refinery Production Manager - Decatur, IL This is an exempt level position.
Position Summary:
This key operational role is responsible for leading all aspects of the operations at an oilseed processing facility. You will have a leading role in driving excellence, developing and implementing programs and procedures, and developing a manufacturing team. You set and maintain ADM's high standards for Safety and Quality for all departments while maintaining production and efficiency excellence. As a good communicator who can nurture extraordinary interdepartmental, commercial and customer relationships you will identify and conclusively solve problems as they arise, develop and supervise teams, lead capital improvement projects and maintain records in accordance with established ADM policies.
Job Responsibilities:
Production:
Develop a high performance team by engaging, coaching and developing team members, and by driving accountability and ownership at all levels. Responsible for environmental, health, safety, quality, efficiency and production of the plant. Responsible for meeting production requirements safely, reliably, and efficiently. Lead and support performance excellence initiatives. Provide technical knowledge for processes and equipment to obtain performance. Maintain cost controls and oversee budgets in each department. Utilize resources in a safe and efficient manner to obtain maximum capacity and performance with optimum yields and quality product.
Health, Safety & Environmental:
Act as a role model for safety. Work with the Safety and Environmental Center of Excellence and the regional and local management on the continued development and implementation of environmental, health, and safety programs, policies and procedures. Coordinate and contribute in audits, prioritizing and tracking completion of findings. Ensure that unsafe behavior and conditions are corrected. Maintain the necessary environmental, health, and safety records and documentation.
Sanitation/Food Safety:
Ensure the facility maintains world-class sanitation standards. Continually improve and communicate food safety/sanitation/quality programs to plant supervisors and hourly employees. Prepare the facility for, and participate in, regulatory/third party/customer/company audits.
Required Skills:
Four-year degree in a relevant field, engineering degree preferred, plus four years of supervisory experience with increasing manufacturing leadership responsibility, or equivalent experience. Demonstrated leadership in safety. Demonstrated ability to collaborate and communicate effectively. Demonstrated coaching and leadership skills. 111508BR Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours. If hired, employees will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
