This is an Hourly position. ㅤ: •2.25 3rd shift differential•
Overview:
POSITION SUMMARY
The Virtual Patient Safety Companion provides continuous virtual monitoring of multiple patients across the ministry to support the fall risk and patient safety programs. This role focuses on observation, verbal redirection, and timely communication to prevent at risk behaviors. The Virtual Patient Safety Companion collaborates closely with onsite care teams, maintains patient confidentiality, and documents relevant observations in the electronic medical record. This position provides observation and verbal intervention only; no direct physical patient care is performed.
Qualifications:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Other Skills/ Knowledge:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented. Ability to remain attentive, focused, and responsive while monitoring multiple patients.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
High School Diploma/GED Experience:
1 year work experience in a service or health care industry
Other Skills/ Knowledge:
Proven ability to follow detailed written and oral instructions. Efficiency in multitasking, with the ability to prioritize simultaneous situations. Excellent telephone etiquette, with the ability to communicate compassionately and professionally with patients, using microphone and headset. OSF HealthCare is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
