Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Construction Safety Professional to join our team. 1 full time and 1 on a part-time basis. This role is vital in ensuring that construction sites operate in full compliance with safety regulations and industry standards. As a key member of our safety management team, you will develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive safety programs that promote a secure working environment for all personnel. Your expertise will help mitigate risks, prevent accidents, and foster a culture of safety excellence across multiple construction projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence safety practices in dynamic construction settings while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism. 1099 independent contractor — you invoice for your time; not a W-2 employee 1 Full-time and 1 Part-time, ongoing, with room to grow as we add sites in the region Local candidates (Terre Haute / Wabash Valley area) strongly preferred Duties Conduct thorough safety inspections and audits on construction sites to identify potential hazards and ensure adherence to OSHA, ANSI, NFPA, NEC, and other relevant standards. Develop, implement, and monitor safety policies, procedures, and training programs tailored to construction workplace safety regulations. Lead safety training sessions for construction teams, including topics such as electrical safety procedures, occupational health protocols, and emergency response procedures like First Aid and CPR. Manage risk assessments related to construction activities, including workers' compensation considerations and occupational health concerns. Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to enforce compliance with OSHA regulations and construction management best practices. Maintain detailed records of safety inspections, incident reports, training logs, and regulatory compliance documentation using construction management software. Provide expert guidance on electrical safety procedures, EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) standards, and ANSI standards to ensure ongoing site safety excellence. Experience Proven experience working on construction sites with a strong understanding of construction management processes and workplace safety regulations. Demonstrated knowledge of OSHA standards, NFPA standards related to fire safety, NEC electrical codes, and ANSI standards applicable to construction environments. Prior experience in construction safety management or a similar role involving risk management and compliance oversight. Familiarity with construction regulatory compliance requirements including workers' compensation laws and occupational health practices. Strong leadership skills with the ability to train teams effectively on safety protocols and foster a culture of proactive safety awareness. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and construction management software for recordkeeping and reporting purposes. Certification in First Aid/CPR is highly preferred; additional certifications such as OSHA 30-Hour or 500-Hour Construction Safety certifications are advantageous.
