URGENT:
DAYSHIFT SAFETY MANAGER
|
REFINERY PROJECT
El Dorado, KS $48-$51/HR $125/Day Per Diem 12-Hour Day Shifts | Up to 7
Days/Week Start:
August 24, 2026 1099 Contract | Approximately 1 Month Immediate mobilization. High hours. Refinery experience required. We are seeking an experienced Dayshift Safety Manager to oversee chemical-cleaning activities inside a refinery facility in El Dorado, Kansas. This is a fast-paced, high-hazard industrial assignment that requires someone who can step onsite, understand the work, establish credibility quickly, and maintain strong safety oversight throughout extended shifts. If your background is limited to commercial construction, this is not the right assignment. We need someone who understands refinery operations, permit-controlled work, chemical hazards, and the realities of high-hour industrial projects.
WHAT YOU'LL OWN
Daily field safety oversight for chemical-cleaning operations Continuous field observations, inspections, and compliance audits Contractor compliance and enforcement of safe work practices Pre-task planning, toolbox talks, and daily safety meetings Permit review and verification of required controls Oversight of confined-space entry, LOTO, line breaking, hot work, and high-hazard activities Verification of PPE, respiratory protection, barricading, and hazard communication Incident and near-miss investigations with corrective-action follow-up Daily safety reporting and communication with client and project leadership Compliance with site procedures and applicable OSHA requirements
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
OSHA 30 certification Previous refinery, chemical-cleaning, petrochemical, turnaround, or heavy-industrial safety experience Strong knowledge of permit compliance and contractor safety Experience with confined space, LOTO, line breaking, hot work, and process-safety environments Ability to work 12-hour day shifts for the duration of the assignment Strong judgment, communication skills, and field presence Ability to mobilize for an August 24, 2026 start
