Core duties typically include:

Compliance:

Ensuring adherence to Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.

Training & Onboarding:

Developing and executing safety training programs, defensive driving courses, and orientation for new drivers.

Incident Investigation:

Investigating accidents, injuries, and vehicle damage, then implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Monitoring & Audits:

Tracking driver logs, Hours of Service (HOS), electronic logging devices (ELD), and conducting regular vehicle safety audits.

Policy Enforcement:

Enforcing company safety policies and maintaining safety records, drug-testing programs, and compliance documentation.
