Safety Manager-Manufacturing - Large Food Manufacturing Facility on the Eastern Shore of Maryland Relocation assistance available!!! Position Summary The Judge Group is seeking a Safety Manager for a large food manufacturing facility.
Compensation:
110k to 135k
Relocation:
Full Relocation covered MUST Have large Manufacturing or Distribution experience The company will not sponsor or relocate any candidates outside of the U.S.
Must Have:
Bachelor's degree (Environmental, Safety & Health, Industrial Health, Occupational Safety, or related field Perfered) 10+ years of safety management experience in a Manufacturing or Distribution environment. Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and industrial/occupational safety principles. Experience implementing behavioral‑based safety programs. 40‑hour HAZWOPER and current 8‑hour refresher (or ability to obtain). CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
Responsibilities:
Lead all safety and security initiatives across the primary manufacturing site and nearby non‑manufacturing operations. Manage daily activities of the facility's safety department, ensuring consistent application of safety processes and resource utilization. Oversee facility security operations , including guard force management, policy development, KPI tracking, and completion of audits and site assessments. Provide technical guidance on safe operational practices, engineering projects, and regulatory compliance (OSHA, NFPA, DHS, DOT, etc.). Engage regularly with the hourly workforce to strengthen safety awareness, resolve concerns, and reinforce a strong safety culture. Develop and execute the site safety business plan , analyze data, track KPIs, and validate corrective actions through internal audits. Ensure timely and effective safety and security training for all required personnel. Lead or participate in incident investigations , ensuring root cause analysis, corrective action development, and closure tracking Preferred Qualifications Multi‑site safety leadership experience. Master's degree in a related field. Professional certifications such as CSP or CIH .
