Job Overview Search Solution Group is seeking a Director of Environmental Health & Safety on behalf of our client, a company specializing in industrial cutting technologies. This leadership role is responsible for developing and executing the organization's global environmental, health, and safety strategy while fostering a strong culture of safety across multiple manufacturing sites. The Director of Environmental Health & Safety will lead global EH&S initiatives, ensure regulatory compliance, drive continuous improvement through data-driven decision-making, and partner with business leaders to integrate safety into daily operations. Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a global Environmental Health & Safety strategy aligned with the company's corporate objectives and safety vision.
  • Lead and mentor a team of Environmental Health & Safety Managers responsible for maintaining compliance with environmental, occupational health, and safety regulations across global operations.
  • Promote and strengthen a company-wide culture of safety through leadership, employee engagement, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Develop, implement, and optimize Safety Management Systems across multiple manufacturing locations.
  • Analyze safety performance data and trends to identify risks, drive corrective actions, and support operational and capital investment decisions.
  • Lead the Global Safety Council and expand the organization's Safety Champion network through formal training and experiential learning.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable OSHA, environmental, and occupational health regulations, as well as other global regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Environmental Health & Safety programs into daily business operations.
  • Interface with regulatory agencies during inspections, audits, and compliance initiatives.
  • Develop and oversee safety training programs, certifications, and employee awareness initiatives.
  • Drive continuous improvement in workplace safety processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Support ergonomic injury prevention initiatives and promote best practices across all facilities. Additional Information Help for Additional Information. Requirements Include Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Health, or a related field required.
  • Master's degree preferred. Experience
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive Environmental Health & Safety leadership experience.
  • Experience leading Environmental Health & Safety programs within a multi-site manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience developing and implementing Safety Management Systems.
  • Experience leading organizational culture change and safety improvement initiatives.
  • Experience working with regulatory agencies and maintaining compliance across multiple locations.
Preferred:
15+ years of progressive Environmental Health & Safety leadership within a global manufacturing organization.
  • Preferred experience with ergonomic injury prevention programs.
  • Preferred experience achieving or maintaining OSHA Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) Star Certification. Skills
