Position Summary Afficionado Coffee Roasters is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Operations Food Safety Manager to oversee food safety compliance, documentation, administrative processes, and record keeping across our two production facilities. This role will be responsible for ensuring compliance with SQF codes and standards, maintaining accurate and organized records, conducting internal audits, and keeping both facilities prepared for SQF and other food safety audits. We're looking for someone who is proactive, highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working closely with production and leadership teams to ensure food safety requirements and operational standards are consistently maintained. Responsibilities Ensure compliance with SQF codes, food safety standards, and company procedures across two production facilities Maintain organized and accurate records for production, equipment maintenance, employee training, management reviews, and other required processes Manage food safety documentation and record keeping to ensure records are complete, current, and audit-ready Conduct internal audits and routine documentation reviews to identify gaps and maintain preparedness for SQF audits Coordinate and document corrective actions related to food safety, compliance, and audit findings Maintain employee training records and assist with coordinating required food safety and compliance training Support management review processes and maintain all related documentation Monitor required logs, forms, procedures, and records for accuracy and completion Manage document control, including maintaining current policies, procedures, forms, and food safety records Work closely with production and leadership teams to ensure food safety procedures and operational standards are consistently followed Identify and implement improvements to compliance, administrative, and record-keeping processes Assist with preparation and coordination for SQF and other food safety audits Qualifications 3+ years of food safety, quality assurance, compliance, food manufacturing operations, or related experience Experience with SQF or other recognized food safety certification programs Strong administrative, documentation, and record-keeping skills Experience maintaining compliance records and preparing documentation for audits Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple deadlines and compliance requirements across multiple facilities Strong written and verbal communication skills Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and electronic record-keeping systems Preferred Experience Food, beverage, coffee, manufacturing, or consumer packaged goods experience SQF audit preparation and internal auditing experience Experience with food safety documentation and document control
HACCP, PCQI, SQF
Practitioner, or related food safety training or certification Experience supporting food safety and compliance across multiple production facilities
Pay:
$62,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
