Job Description

Safety Manager Job Description ‍Plans and implements all aspects of the Company's safety program to ensure compliance with OSHA standards & principles and the attainment of Company objectives; will work with employees and leadership to ensure a safe, healthy and accident-free work environment; assesses, develops and implements all safety policies and procedures to ensure that regulatory compliance and Company protocols are met; actively responsible for increasing employee involvement in safety initiatives. Including supporting and leading safety committees, accident investigations, safety audits, etc.; available around-the-clock to respond, if necessary, to emergencies that may occur at the facility; Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Hygiene or Safety Management preferred. A relevant degree and commensurate experience will be considered. Minimum 5 years of significant safety experience in a large industrial safety setting (manufacturing operation) requested. Paper industry experience preferred. 500/501 OSHA, First Aid /CPR, Certified Safety Professional (CSP) also preferred. Must be expert level user of Microsoft Office specifically Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook.
