Job Description Alliance is hiring Fire & Life Safety Directors (FLSD). As a key member of the Corporate Security Team, the Fire & Life Safety Director is responsible for overseeing all fire and life safety operations while maintaining a safe, secure, and compliant environment for tenants, visitors, and employees. This leadership role combines emergency preparedness, regulatory compliance, and exceptional customer service to support operations within New York City's premier Class-A commercial properties. Alliance Security has openings in high-profile commercial office buildings throughout New York City.
Responsibilities Fire & Life Safety Leadership:
Serve as the primary point of contact for all fire and life safety operations, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and building procedures
Emergency Preparedness:
Develop, implement, and maintain emergency response plans, evacuation procedures, and life safety protocols for assigned properties
Training & Drills:
Coordinate and conduct fire drills, emergency exercises, safety inspections, and training sessions for building staff and occupants
System Oversight:
Monitor and ensure the operational readiness of fire alarm, sprinkler, suppression, standpipe, emergency communication, and life safety systems
Emergency Response:
Direct emergency operations during fire alarms, medical incidents, evacuations, and other critical events while coordinating with the FDNY, first responders, building management, and tenants
Compliance & Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of inspections, drills, incidents, certifications, and required documentation while ensuring compliance with NYC Fire Code and building regulations
Customer Service & Communication:
Maintain a professional, approachable presence while providing exceptional service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and building management
Security Operations Support:
Assist with general security operations, including access control, patrols, incident response, and other Security Officer responsibilities as needed to support overall site safety Requirements Valid F-89 Fire & Life Safety Director Certification (must remain valid for at least 6 months beyond hire date) Valid NY State Security Guard License Minimum of 2 years of Fire & Life Safety Director experience in NYC commercial office buildings Compensation
SALARY RANGE

Plan Sign-On Bonus Pay:
$26.99 - $27.00 per hour
