McJak Candy Company is the largest manufacturer of deposited gourmet lollipops in North America. We have an opening for a Food Safety and Quality Assurance Supervisor. Responsibilities include coordinating our SQF program, quality assurance, and development of new products. The most important function of the Food Safety and Quality Assurance Supervisor will be to develop a solid understanding of the manufacturing processes and develop relationships with the crews that will allow them to foster a strong food safety and quality culture within the facility. A qualified candidate can expect to spend a part of each day working in the plant . This position will also conduct internal quality systems audits, hosts external audits, maintain the documentation for quality programs, helps innovate product improvements, and drives initiatives to address quality issues. Previous experience in the food industry or quality assurance is preferred. We will send you to formal training on HACCP and SQF if you are not certified. A bachelor of science degree in Food Science or a related field is desired. Candidate must be self-motivated and have good organizational skills. Typical hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm weekdays.
