Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager About the Role We are seeking a hands-on Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to lead and strengthen safety and environmental programs within a manufacturing environment. This position is both strategic and highly visible on the production floor, focused on ensuring regulatory compliance, enhancing employee engagement, improving safety performance, and fostering a culture where safety and sustainability are shared responsibilities. This role is ideal for a collaborative leader who builds relationships, gains buy-in and leads through influence rather than authority. You will work closely with Operations, Human Resources, and production leadership to develop practical solutions that support employees, reduce risk, and drive continuous improvement. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with occasional flexibility required to support multiple shifts, training initiatives, meetings, or emergency situations. Key Responsibilities Lead and continuously improve environmental, health, and safety programs that reduce risk and support operational excellence. Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including OSHA, EPA, DOT, and other regulatory requirements. Conduct facility audits, hazard assessments, job safety analyses, and risk evaluations. Lead incident, injury, and near-miss investigations, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions. Develop, deliver, and track EHS training programs for employees and leadership teams. documentation, environmental reporting, and compliance initiatives. Serve as the primary contact for regulatory agencies, inspections, audits, permits, and environmental reporting activities. Coordinate emergency response planning and preparedness programs. Partner with plant leadership to drive accountability and ownership of EHS performance across the organization. Conduct new hire safety orientation and ongoing employee training. Maintain a visible presence on the manufacturing floor while supporting operations across multiple shifts. Champion a proactive safety culture through coaching, mentoring, and employee engagement. Qualifications 5+ years of progressive Environmental, Health & Safety experience within a manufacturing, industrial, or production environment. Strong working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT, and environmental compliance regulations. Proven ability to influence others, build relationships, and drive safety initiatives across all levels of an organization. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to effectively interact with front-line employees, supervisors, and senior leadership. Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field preferred Professional certifications such as CSP, CHMM, REM, or similar credentials a plus Experience managing
