Health, Safety, and Environment Manager

Job Description

We're looking for an experienced HSE Manager to lead our safety culture! We are looking for a hands-on, knowledgeable, and proactive HSE Manager who can take ownership of our Health, Safety & Environmental program across our operation. This is an opportunity for someone who is passionate about safety, comfortable working in the field, and knows how to build accountability while working alongside drivers, plant personnel, mechanics, and management. What you'll do: Lead and manage the company's overall Health, Safety & Environmental program Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies, procedures, and programs Conduct regular jobsite, plant, vehicle, and equipment safety inspections Perform and document incident/accident investigations and corrective actions Conduct safety meetings, toolbox talks, and employee training Manage OSHA, DOT, and other applicable regulatory compliance Maintain safety records, inspections, training documentation, and compliance files Monitor driver compliance, including MVRs, medical cards, CDL requirements, and other DOT-related requirements Assist with fleet safety, vehicle inspections, maintenance compliance, and driver safety programs Identify hazards and implement corrective actions before incidents occur Develop and maintain JHAs, SSSPs, safety plans, emergency procedures, and training materials Coordinate and manage PPE requirements and safety equipment Work with management and supervisors to establish measurable safety goals and accountability Serve as a resource for employees and management regarding safety and compliance Stay current on OSHA, DOT, FMCSA, and industry regulations Help build and maintain a strong safety-first culture throughout the company What we are looking for: Previous experience in HSE, Safety Management, or a related field Experience in trucking, construction, redi-mix, aggregate, oilfield, or heavy equipment operations preferred Strong knowledge of OSHA and
DOT/FMCSA
regulations Experience conducting incident investigations and developing corrective actions Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to work independently and make sound decisions Comfortable being hands-on and in the field, not just behind a desk Ability to hold employees and management accountable while maintaining positive working relationships Proficient with Microsoft Office and safety/compliance software Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Preferred Qualifications:
OSHA 30 CSP, ASP, CHST, or other safety certification
DOT/FMCSA
compliance experience Experience developing safety programs and training Experience managing safety across a growing fleet or multiple locations
Pay:
$60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
