Overview Join our dynamic team as an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager, where you will lead the development, implementation, and oversight of comprehensive safety and environmental programs across manufacturing operations. Your expertise will ensure compliance with all relevant environmental regulations and workplace safety standards, fostering a culture of proactive hazard prevention and continuous improvement. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Directs, develops, and oversees the general health and safety policies and procedures of the organization. Ensures the workplace is in compliance with OSHA, DEQ, EPA and other state, local, or industry specific regulations and that periodic safety audits are conducted. Develops risk-based compliance testing of existing procedures and controls to identify, detect, and correct noncompliance. Provides programs that ensure a safe workplace including safety orientations, skill training, emergency preparedness, proper job instruction, hazardous material disposal procedures, and the use of protective equipment. Develops and continually improves safety around processes using flammable solvents and other hazardous materials Develops a systemic process to collect data and analyze the causes of accidents and generate required reporting. Implements initiatives to reduce and prevent accidents, occupational illnesses, and exposure to long-term health hazards. Ensures that all activities follow regulatory requirements related to the governance of the organization as well as any industry-specific or location-specific laws. Progress Reporting - illustrate improvement month over month tracking a safer work environment. •All other duties as assigned•
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
BA/BS degree in relevant field and 10+ years safety and compliance management experience OSHA certification. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to interpret and write policy, procedures, project implementation plans, compliance reports and federal reporting. Must have experience meeting performance standards and reducing injuries and incidents. Experience and knowledge of applicable Federal, State and local laws and regulations. Experience working in environments with flammable solvents and hazardous materials with PSM experience preferred. Skilled in systems, project management and quality assurance. Excellent communication skills. Must have exceptional organizational skills and ability to multitask. Additional language skills, bi-lingual in Spanish is a plus. Pay:
$80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
