Job Description

Safety Manager Prineville, Oregon | Full-Time | Extensive Travel About Centerline Centerline Drilling Inc. is a Central Oregon-based contractor specializing in drilling, substations, renewable energy, heavy civil construction, and horizontal boring. Our crews support critical power, utility, and infrastructure projects throughout the Pacific Northwest and beyond. Our work ranges from drilled foundations and complete substation civil packages to utility-scale solar and BESS projects, mass grading, underground utilities, access roads, and horizontal directional drilling. With experienced field crews, specialized equipment, and strong project support, we have the capabilities to take on complex projects. About the Role This is a travel-intensive, field-based position with significant administrative responsibility. The Safety Manager will spend the majority of their time supporting active projects in the field while also managing safety documentation, customer requirements, safety portals, incident reporting, training, and compliance. We are looking for someone who understands construction, is comfortable working directly with field crews and customers, and can stay organized and on top of detailed safety requirements while traveling between projects. What You'll Do Travel extensively to active projects and provide on-site safety support, including extended assignments when needed. Conduct job-site safety walks and work with field leadership to identify and address safety concerns. Help ensure compliance with Centerline policies, project requirements, OSHA standards, and other applicable safety regulations. Manage company safety handbooks, records, safety portals, and project-specific safety documentation. Prepare and maintain safety paperwork required by customers, prime contractors, project owners, vendors, and regulatory agencies, coordinating with Project Management, Human Resources, and other departments as needed. Assist with safety incident reporting, documentation, and follow-up as needed. Coordinate and provide job-site safety training and other project-required training. Attend customer, contractor, project, and safety meetings as Centerline's safety representative. Maintain organized safety records, training documentation, certifications, and compliance files. What We're Looking For Construction safety experience, preferably in civil, utility, electrical infrastructure, renewable energy, or similar field operations. Practical knowledge of construction operations, equipment, and job-site hazards. Working knowledge of OSHA requirements and construction safety practices. Experience with safety inspections, incident investigations, and compliance documentation. Strong administrative, organizational, and documentation skills. Comfortable using customer portals, online systems, spreadsheets, and electronic documentation. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and professionally represent Centerline with employees, customers, and contractors. Willingness and ability to travel extensively and remain away from home for extended periods based on project needs. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record. OSHA and other applicable safety certifications preferred.
Compensation & Benefits Salary:
$100,000-$120,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
