Wolfgang Confectioners is seeking an experienced Food Safety and Quality Assurance Manager to lead our Quality Assurance Team in the plant while maintaining consistent food safety process standards for Quality Assurance across the plant. This is a highly technical position that will directly impact the level of food safety and quality. Key Responsibilities Responsible for the attainment and maintenance of SQF Food Safety Code for Manufacturing across the facility. Serves as company Preventative Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI). Oversight and continuous improvement of the Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) program. Manages internal and external audit execution. Manages customer complaint to include root cause analysis, communication to customer and tracking data. Drives continuous improvement of the Food Safety and Quality Management System with the Director of Food Safety and Quality. Obtains excellent quality results evidenced by customer complaint frequency, product evaluation scores, internal and external audit scores, quality systems compliance, and other formal and informal feedback mechanisms, using new and existing methods, procedures and systems. Manages FSQA-related third party vendors (pest control, etc.). Assigns Internal Corrective Action Reports (CARs), oversees completion, and performs effectivity evaluations as assigned. Assists with FSQA training curriculum development and instruction. Assists in resolution of administrative issues. Maintains updated personal Food Safety certificates from all applicable training courses. Serves as direct back up to Director of FSQA. Minimum BA or BS degree (preferred) Minimum five (5) years of food safety and quality experience (preferred) HACCP credentials Certified SQF Practitioner Preventative Controls Certified Individual (preferred) Internal Auditor (preferred) Strong verbal and written communication skills This position includes some travel between our Loganville plant and Headquarters location. There will also be occasional need to travel to vendor sites, and/or regulatory locations.
