Overview Join our dynamic construction team as a Concrete Construction Safety Manager and lead the charge in creating a safe, compliant, and efficient work environment on large-scale concrete projects. In this vital role, you will develop, implement, and oversee safety protocols tailored specifically to concrete construction sites, ensuring every team member operates under the highest safety standards. Your expertise will help prevent accidents, promote occupational health, and foster a culture of safety excellence across all phases of construction. Duties Develop comprehensive safety plans aligned with OSHA regulations, NEC standards, and industry best practices for concrete construction sites. Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards related to risk management and occupational health, implementing corrective actions promptly. Lead safety training sessions for workers and management on topics such as OSHA compliance, Workers' Compensation procedures, and EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) protocols. Monitor adherence to safety policies using construction management software and onsite observations, ensuring strict compliance management across all activities. Investigate incidents or near-misses thoroughly, documenting findings and recommending measures to prevent recurrence. Collaborate with project managers to integrate safety considerations into construction schedules and workflows effectively. Stay updated on evolving OSHA regulations, NEC standards, and industry trends to continuously improve safety programs and ensure ongoing compliance. Requirements Proven experience in construction site safety management within concrete or heavy civil construction environments. Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, Workers' Compensation processes, risk management strategies, and occupational health principles. Experience utilizing construction management software for safety tracking and compliance documentation. Demonstrated ability in compliance management, conducting risk assessments, and implementing EHS initiatives effectively. Excellent communication skills for training teams and coordinating with diverse stakeholders on-site. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is highly preferred to effectively communicate with our diverse field crews. Construction management or related certification is preferred; relevant experience in concrete construction is essential.
