Purpose Lead, implement, and maintain the organization's safety programs to ensure a safe workplace and full compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Provide on-site and organizational support for safety operations, deliver training, conduct evaluations, and partner with operations leadership to promote a proactive safety culture across offices and field teams. Responsibilities Leadership and Direction Receive general guidance on key objectives while independently managing day-to-day safety operations within assigned regions or business units. Provide coaching and direction to employees related to safety practices, hazard identification, and regulatory compliance. Serve as a subject-matter resource for staff and operations teams; review work for accuracy and compliance with company standards. Support the development and rollout of companywide safety initiatives and training programs. At the Operational and Company Level Conduct routine on-site safety evaluations at offices, job sites, and field operations; document findings and coach personnel to reinforce safe behaviors. Lead or support branch safety efforts, including office safety, emergency action planning, new employee orientation, and localized training. Coordinate with Senior Leadership to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements, client expectations, and internal policies. Assist in developing and implementing safety procedures, best practices, and programs at the local level. Support integration of newly acquired entities into company safety culture, expectations, and systems. Participate in internal safety committees or councils and contribute insights from site visits, observations, and incident reviews. Do the Work Deliver required safety training programs, including compliance training, toolbox talks, lunch & learns, and specialized training based on job functions. Conduct accident, incident, and near-miss investigations; determine root causes and develop corrective action recommendations. Monitor branch/regional safety metrics, identify trends, and communicate actionable insights to leadership. Prepare and maintain safety records, including inspections, incident reports, training documentation, and OSHA-required logs. Support compliance with OSHA, MSHA, DOT, FMCSA, FAA, and other applicable regulatory bodies, as well as client-specific requirements. Draft safety-related communications for assigned regions, including updates, alerts, and evaluation summaries. Collaborate with company leadership to resolve escalated issues. Maintain awareness of regulatory changes and update procedures, programs, and training content accordingly. Contribute to emergency response planning, program maintenance, and preparedness drills. Foster a positive, proactive safety culture, engaging employees at all levels to promote safe practices and shared accountability. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in safety management, occupational health, industrial hygiene, or related field; or equivalent experience. Seven or more (7+) years of safety experience supporting construction, engineering, energy, mining, or related field operations. Working knowledge of OSHA, MSHA, and DOT regulations required. Experience conducting field safety audits, training, and incident investigations. Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to travel to field offices, job sites, and regional branches; availability to be on-call for urgent safety events as needed. Range $107,907 - $137,581 and includes a comprehensive benefits package.
